Four Finger Affirmations

There are 4 copies per page, so teachers can print out and cut down. Hand out one square per student.

Teachers can state: Affirmations are positive words or phrases that are repeated to one’s self to help challenge negative thoughts and to help a person make positive changes. When you repeat them often, and believe in them, that’s when change begins.

Students will write a total of 4 affirmations, one in each finger.

Teachers can share examples as well to give students inspiration:

  • I believe in me.

  • I am free of worry and am peace with who I am.

  • Positivity is a choice; I choose to be positive.

  • I am enough

  • I am proud of myself and all that I have accomplished.

  • I am a beautiful person.

  • I am brave / smart / kind

  • I am not my mistakes

  • I have the power to create change

  • I can handle this

  • I am loved today

If students want to include pictures or drawings on their square, they are more than welcome to.
